The Institute of Construction Management focuses on the combination of economic and technical components during construction and the complete life cycle of buildings.

With its future-oriented research areas and practice-oriented seminars and lectures, the Institute of Construction Management offers students and partners from industry a wide and exciting portfolio.

The institute was founded in 1964 by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. E. h. Gerhard Drees. In 1994 Prof. Dr.-Ing. Fritz Berner took over the management of the institute. On 1st of April 2019 Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans Christian Jünger took over the management of the institute.

A total of twelve employees and 23 lecturers supervise the students and implement the institute's principle of practice-oriented research and teaching.
